It rained at least three weeks during May this year. I was poised to go out painting bluebells in the already brief window when the bluebells appear, watching the weather forecast but unable to do anything.

There was a brief window for only a couple of days in which I dashed out and managed to paint this pair of paintings. Maybe it was the build up or the pressure to paint something good in such a narrow window which brought everything together in these pieces. I am really exited by the results!
